A word on diocesan training workshops and opportunities:

Some students may be required to take specific training workshops, depending on what ministry they are currently involved with and how they exercise leadership in their local faith communities. The diocesan office currently offers the following workshops on a regular basis:

  • Safe Church Training
  • Safeguarding God’s Children Training
  • Anti-racism Training, Becoming Beloved Commnity Training, and/or Sacred Ground Training
  • “Title IV” Training
  • Community Organizing (often offered locally by community organizing groups as well as through the diocesan program for Congregational Vitality)

In addition, the diocesan program in Congregational Vitality (https://www.diosef.org/congregational-vitality) offers resources in the following areas:

  • Project Resource (stewardship)
  • The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS)
  • ChurchNext (easy-to-use Christian formation programming and short courses for parishes; small group Bible studies; baptismal and confirmation catechetical resources)
  • Invite, Welcome, Connect (hospitality and evangelism)

For information on these diocesan resources and more, please contact the Rev. Canon Jason Roberson, Canon Missioner for Congregational Vitality and Transitions, at jason@diosef.org
